What was your first thought when you heard the scare and fear tactics from Bush? I think that 99.9% of the US populace said NO WAY! NOT MY MONEY.
Yes, he warned us. He warned us very well, I must say. Just like how he scared everyone over the terrorist attack from 9/11. But, that ended off only for oil. Not for terror.
The fence is STILL not finished. The borders are still not enforced. No extra guards or patrols.
The same scare and fear tactics he used over weapons of mass destruction, that just magically were not there.
He uses them again to scare us into what sounds like the end of the world.
Of course the people react, what did he think we are all zombified on Prozac, we would just let him get away with a non accountability clause along with 700 billion smakerroos? Sure we will let you give corporate severance pay and foreign company bailouts?.
Yes, Mr President we agree you have no responsibility, non for your country and the people who hired you who pays YOUR pay check.
You took away our rights, our freedoms. Replaced them with torture, taking our homes and being held indefinitely with out trial. Now you want to take away another half of the dollar after you already take over half in taxes as it is.
Congress was smart to listen to us. For once they really supported the people for if not revolution would be a kind word. They must be applauded for having the common sense to see through the smoke.
Aaaah, but, then we get the stock market going down some 700 points in one day. How convenient. That wasn't planned was it, nah? Not Mr Bush!
So, thankfully there are still some good guys around in politics. Some of course who are scared stiff they won't get re elected. But, they are there for us.
How long it will last one will have to wait and see. How much the bribes, earmarks, and use of their other " not mentionable" tactics are able to be fended off is yet to be seen.
The media plays his game. They are held by his word. We know of course they are told to play us. Make them change their minds. Well it worked for some. But not the majority. We are still going strong.
Oh, there was some wobble, some backing down on the people when they saw the stocks plummet. I don't blame them, it is so hard to see your life's worth go down the drain. It made one think. But that was the ploy wasn't it. One has to be made right.
But we have to look to the future not to the present.
One has to look at what it all means, and what is the long term effect. To take the time and read and understand each and every word. What happens today will marry you and to death do you part. Possibly 700 billion life times.
Yeah, we could keep ourselves in ball and chains and yes, this really would be a prison planet, a police state then wouldn't it. But seriously folks, there are laws for this sort of thing and to bypass the Judge is a severe offence.
Bankruptcy belongs in the hands of the bankruptcy courts. It is the Judges hat not the governments. When you break the laws and the people allow it you set a precedence. If the precedence is set companies are not going to worry about going bankrupt because they can take total advantage of this.
There is one man, Derringer who I have to support. He tells it exactly like it is. He explains the exactness in detail and you know that you should always trust your first instinct, your first thought.
He tells us that we where right, ARE right and we should hold own own and not let the big boys covert plans destroy us. One day, one day they will all be held accountable and that day my friends can't come soon enough!
So, I just want to thank the people of the United States for standing up, to Congress for being for the people, and to Bush for really showing us what stupidity really is.
Thank you and I urge all of you to continue to write, fax, phone, blog to congress and tell them that they must continue to support the people and reject the bailouts.
Bailout the homeowner only. Let the people rent from the banks with an option to buy back.
