Who's Minding The Kids
The joy of family is something that should be treasured. When you see your young child take their first steps, say their first words, or pick up their first toy is something that most parents wish to see. It is not always possible for the majority of families with children in Day Care. Having to go to work and put food in childrens mouths is something of a concern. They sometimes miss some of those benefits but, still come home at night. But, I wonder for the children of those that the parents are off galavanting the election meetings, taking trips across the country, late night meetings who is minding the kids? We were told that the husband a man who works for oil would stay and watch the kids but, everywhere you look he is there by her side. There is a child with special needs, a child who is pregnant and 2 other children where are they? Where is the time to call a son in Iraq? Are they going to school, getting an education? Are they with aging grandparents who should be enjoying retirement? A sister, a relative, who have lives of their own? Just where are they? and where and when do they get their time with the parents? A woman looks great all dressed up and make up prefect if she does not take care of 5 kids. I have nothing against working and having kids career or need does not bother me. What bothers me is the time that is spent with the kids. When do they get a parent's time? Palin in office will not get better. We have a war, threats of war in several other countries, financial travesty and pressing issues that need attention. Who will mind the kids? |
