The Thyroid

Four years ago I was diagnosed with a hyperactive thyroid.
It happened rather fast. I went from weighing 110lbs to 60lbs within two weeks.

I could not keep any food down, and whatever I had in my system continued to expel. I found myself in the emergency room and being told by the Doctor that they were going to admit me.

I was in the middle of the "Storm" they said. I had a huge goiter where the thyroid was on the side of my neck.

After many tests the doctor finally told me that I had no choice but to swallow Radioactive Iodine.

The Iodine was to be swallowed and no one would be allowed in the room when I took it. It only killed the thyroid - nothing else. Hmmmm, really? Didn't you need the Thyroid to live? Well, that's why you take a pill for the rest of your life.

I was yelled at when I asked if there were any other options like herbs, remedies etc.,I was told that if I pursued that path I could find another Doctor.

I was told by the resident Endocronologist that nothing else works so don't bother trying anything else.

Since I had lost so much weight they decided that I could gain weight before taking the Iodine which I had not agreed to take.

As soon as I got home from my 2 week stay at the hospital I got on the net and found some Chinese herbs called Thyroid-Throu.

From taking the very first one I felt really good. Food stayed down and I had enough energy to go do the dishes. Within a week I was back to normal.

I found a Homeopath who would monitor me through this.
Within a year my tests were normal.

It has been four years now. I have had no problems and I still have my thyroid. I eat seafood and salt all the things your not supposed to eat.

The herbs were quite expensive but I feel it was a small price to pay to avoid any issues later on from taking the Radioactive Iodine.

I had thyroid cancer when I was age 25 and took radioactive iodine. I also had my thyroid removed. I am still here without any adverse effects, 50 years later, but I do have to take thyroid replacement pills. You are lucky that the herb medicines that you took cured you and that you don’t have to take any pills.
