Our Democracy
You know America is going to the dogs when you here that Journalists are getting arrested for covering a protest in St Paul Mnn. Amy Goodwin was arrested by St Paul police while covering a protest outside the Republican National Convention. She was clearly identified as press and yet they arrested her on charges of obstruction. Two of her producers were also arrested for suspicion of felony riot. They were later released but charges are pending. The story has been ignored by the press and has had very little to no coverage. When the press start getting arrested for doing their jobs you know we don't have a chance in hell. I may not be an advocate of the press and their sensationalism but freedom of the press as freedom of speech should be still part of our constitution. It amazes me that fellow professionals do not air the story because fellow professionals do not have the guts or courage to stand up and fight for their fellow professionals or rights to their own professions.
