Mr Smith Goes To Washington
In 1939 this movie was heavily protested by politicians and press. Why? When faced with the truth those guilty will make the most noise. In this movie the politically corrupt machine was run by a man called Taylor who controlled all the newspapers and politicians. Are we all so naive as to think this isn't happening today? Why is it we do not get informative daily reports from our newspapers and television about the war in Iraq and Afganistan? Our media is controlled by corporations that do not want us to know what is really going on. The circus called CNN is so busy spinning our upcoming election instead of forcing our canidates to tell us how we can end the war, pollution,poverty and other degraded human conditions. We have no Mr.Smith in Washington and boy do we need one! There is no senator or congressman in this country with the balls of Mr. Smith. Our government today proposes new legislation that is written so that it sounds one way and is another, that's what lawyers get paid for. Will our government raise our minimum wage, bring peace on earth, of course not. Until we get Mr. Smith in Washington business will go on as usual even with a new president. Filabusters simply never occur. Why? Because they are not politically correct. Todays politicians are afraid to offend the status quo who do their best to control our world so they can make millions. Mr. Smith goes to Washington is the only hope our nation has. The only hope because the money moguls hidden behind our politicians have been very busy over the years to make sure that we the lambs have shepherd's who keep the wool over our eyes. 1939 to 2008, it's still not to late to filabuster, stop them all in our congress and pull the wool off our eyes! I hope dear fellow Americans you can see the truth, watch this movie and write your political leaders.
