Fashion Police
The phrase is often used by us all but now it seems there is going to be a real thing called the Fashion Police. According to the media certain clothing called "sloppy pants" could be banned and the police could crack down those wearing this style. Gee honey, I am late 'cos I got pulled over by the Fashion Police. They didn't like what I was wearing today. The police couldn't go to the home of Mr John Doe today and arrest the felon because they were busy watching the fashion on the street. Sloppy pants being a fashion, a passing fad and very common with the young boys. May soon be on it's way to extinction. Now, I don't know about you but if they are going to start literally addressing how we dress and single out particular items they should first start looking at the below the hip trousers the young girls wear. Now, they expose certain parts of the body not like the "sloppy pants" just exposing more clothing. Sure they expose their underwear, so what! It is clothing. I would just like to know how they manage to keep them on their legs. I wonder what would have happened if they had banned bell bottoms or the mini skirt? Sloppy pants has nothing to do with low grades in school. Don't make fashion an excuse for schools inability to teach. That is their job and they are failing at it miserably. If they can't teach then get out the Teachers Police. I my not like this particular fashion but enough of violating our first amendment rights. No one should tell us what to wear no matter how old we are. If these people who complain about this kind of stuff would look at the world around them and use that self righteous attitude to better the lives on this planet instead of trying to get everyone to conform to mass control, this would be a far better place to live. There are people dying for goodness sake! How about a Corporate Out Ethics police instead. Let the police do their job and chase real criminals or have we forgot what the meaning of criminal is? |
