Control
It never ceases to amaze me how much we put up with.
For a country that is founded and based on the Constitution we sure as a whole do not follow it. Everyday you hear and see some new law coming into play.
Cities wanting to ban smoking altogether, banning skinny models,bans on drinking in public,it's against the law this and against the law that. Granted some of these are for our own good like don't drink and drive but seriously folks some of these are just way out of hand. When the government takes away your freedom of speech and freedom to make your own choices they are saying you can't be responsible for your own actions and choices. There has to be a limit to what the government states we can or cannot do. Life is so complicated these days and long gone are the simple rules and regulations that everyone could follow. They have gone beyond being a government to a dictatorship. There is no more Constitution - it is long gone with telephone tapping, credit card purchase tracking and e-mail held indefinitely. Not to mention we could be held and tortured for no reason. Gone are the days where the good were rewarded and the bad were shunned. Today it is give all attention and fame to the bad and screw the good. Gone are the days of good, decent, healthy foods. Now we have radiation pumped into our foods and chemicals in our water. We are told to eat and drink because it is good for us. Gone are the days when we could get good advice from our physicians that would better our health. Today we told to take a dangerous pill it is good for you. Gone are the days of a healthy environment. Today we live in smog filled air and sprayed with pesticides and harmful chemicals. Gone are the days when our government cared about us. That went the day the Constitution was violated. Today we live in the back flash. It seems we as a people have allowed all this, we have not put our foot down and demanded more. Instead we have less and tomorrow when the next law is passed we will have even less. And so it continues.......... |
