Bel Air Bar and Grill
Bel Air Bar and Grill is a lovely restaurant located near the Getty Center in Los Angeles. My husband and I first went there for lunch and we had the most amazing butternut squash soup that was just out of this world. You could actually smell and taste the squash! I became addicted immediately. Next Dave had the penne and I had the casadia. I tried his penne and was very pleased. I loved the casadia everything was fresh and organic. The next time we went there was for dinner. We brought my in laws and we ordered the crown roast of pork. This was fantastic! We drank one of the house wines a Markham 2005 which was an excellent accompaniment to the crown roast. We have since ordered a case from Markham wineries in Northern California. To top off our dinner (we were so full) we split four ways this incredible rich double black chocolate enticement while sipping on our cappachino's. We went there again just a few weeks ago and the menu now offered lobster sandwiches so we both thought we would try them. As much as we tried we could not finish the second halves. These things are soooooo good! They give you an incredibly generous amount of fresh lobster and the seasoning has just a tang of heat. The cole slaw and fries were good too! When we got home we had the second half for dinner (yes, there was enough). We can't wait to go back and try out something else on the menu even though we would be quite happy with what we have already ordered. There is a bar that is at the back of the restaurant the restaurant itself has 2 seperate rooms that are joined together with a lot of beautiful art on the walls. There is a large tented patio dining area for those that like to sit out. The restaurant changed owners about a year ago and is now owned by Susan (Disney) Lord and her friend Valerie Dayton is the manager. The restaurant hosts many of the local Bel Air residents and clientele. There are many noted celebrities that frequent the restaurant. You can see the Getty Museum if you are seated by a window. I can't speak highly of this place. Everything from the atmosphere to the service, the food and the drink is just deserving of a treatful lunch or night out. 662 N.Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049 is the address. If you live near or are in town for a few days it is well worth the visit. Hope you will enjoy! |

Really excellent intel. It's a pity Qassia doesn't get more like these.
